Char Dham Yatra is a spiritual pilgrimage tour covering four sacred Hindu shrines - Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath - located in Uttarakhand, India. The journey involves trekking and driving through the rugged terrain of the Himalayas, providing breathtaking views. The pilgrimage is considered holy and spiritually fulfilling, and it is believed that by undertaking it, one can attain salvation and liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The journey starts from Rishikesh or Haridwar, and each shrine has its unique significance and mythological importance. The Char Dham Yatra attracts thousands of devotees from all over India and the world every year.
Drive to Haridwar after the pickup from the airport, train station, hotel, or your residence in Delhi. Following the check-in at the hotel, a visit to Mansa Devi Temple or the Ganga Aarti would be lined up. After that, reach the hotel for an overnight stay.
After having breakfast and checking out, drive to Barkot in the morning. En route, enjoy sightseeing after arriving in Mussoorie. You can choose between exploring Kempty Falls or Mussoorie Lake before continuing our journey to Barkot. After checking in at the Barkot hotel, stay overnight, relax, and prepare for the next day.
Drive to Jankichatti (or Phoolchatti) after breakfast, then begin the 6-kilometre trek to Yamunotri. You may choose to walk, ride a horse, or rent a palki (at your own expense). Return to Jankichatti via a 3-kilometre trek after taking a bath in the warm water of Jamunabai Kund and receiving Darshan of "Yamunaji." Continue driving to Barkot; spend the night in Barkot.
In the morning, after breakfast, depart for Uttarkashi. The journey continues to Shiv Gufa and Uttarkashi. When you arrive in Uttarkashi, pay a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. After that, check into a hotel to unwind. Stay the night in Uttarkashi.
Drive to Gangotri early in the morning (pack a breakfast), stop in Gangnani to take a holy dip in Garam Kund, and then continue driving through the picturesque Harsil Valley to Gangotri. Harsil is renowned for its unspoiled beauty and the magnificent views of the mountains and deodar trees. Take a holy dip in the Ganges, also known as Bhagirathi, at its source, when you arrive at Shree Gangotri. Do Pooja and Darshan later while travelling. After lunch, which is on your own dime, take some time to unwind in the lovely surroundings. Driving back to Uttarkashi comes next. Unwind and relax during an overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgaon. En route, you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini River comes from Kedarnath; drive alongside the river to reach Guptkashi. Later, go to Guptkashi to see the Ardh Narayan Temple. Check into the hotel upon arrival in Guptkashi. Leave for Kedarnath Ji after breakfast. After being dropped off by our driver in Sonprayag, you must take a local Jeep to Gaurikund on your own dime before beginning the trek to Kedarnath. After Darshan, walk toward Gaurikund before taking a local Jeep to Sonprayag (at your own expense). Drive to Guptkashi later. Overnight stay at Guptkashi
India's holiest Dham, Badrinath, is located there. In the Chamoli district of the state of Uttarakhand, it is situated at a height of 3,133 meters above sea level. In the ninth century, Adi Shankaracharya founded this dham. Lord Vishnu is worshipped in the Badrinath Temple. The sacred Alaknanda River's right bank is where the temple is located.
Enjoy the trip to Rudraprayag via Joshimath after breakfast. I later drove back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath, stopping en route at the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath. When you get to Rudraprayag, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag
After breakfast, drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Check in Hotel. Later visit Rishikesh Temples and Sightseeing: Laxman Jhulla and Ram Jhulla after sightseeing drive to Haridwar; overnight stay at Haridwar.
In the morning, after breakfast, check out and drive towards Delhi. Dropping off at the Delhi airport, station, home, or hotel
