You’ll discover an amazing view of Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain peak in the world. You’ll also find that the Teesta River, with its thrilling white water rafting, is one of the top spots for adventure in North East India.

Begin your trip in Gangtok, where the impressive Teesta River welcomes you. Take your time to explore Gangtok at your own pace, maybe walking along MG Marg to buy souvenirs like traditional handicrafts and local specialties, and try some tasty Sikkimese dishes.

The next day is full of memorable moments. Experience the beauty of Bakthang Waterfalls, offering some of the best sunrise and sunset views, along with stunning vistas of Mt. Kanchenjunga and other snow-capped peaks on a clear day, from the Tashi viewpoint.

You will enjoy the peaceful vibes at Ganesh Tok, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, and enjoy the scenic views of Gangtok. Then, visit Enchey Monastery, known for its calmness and beautiful architecture, where you can feel the serene atmosphere and watch monks praying.

You will enjoy an exhilarating cable car ride to the breathtaking Tsomgo Lake, known for its stunning beauty with clear blue waters and picturesque mountain views. After that, you’ll visit Baba Mandir, a sacred spot, and then head to Nathula Pass, a historic mountain route.

Day 1NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok (Drive : 125 Kms — 4/5 Hrs)

  • On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB),. Meet our representative at a pickup point and get transferred to your pre-booked hotel in Gangtok.
  • Don’t forget to capture the picturesque views of the mighty Teesta River on the way.
  • Upon reaching Gangtok, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • In the evening, you can visit the MG Marg of Gangtok, where you can collect souvenirs and treat your taste buds to authentic Sikkimese cuisine.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 2Gangtok Sightseeing Tour — Views of Mt. Kanchenjunga

  • Wake up, have a delicious breakfast, and start your full day of sightseeing, which starts with exploring the famous attractions of Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Located at an elevation of about 5,600 feet (1,700 metres),. 
  • First, visit the Bakthang Waterfalls, which are quite wide and a great spot to take photographs.
  • Next, you head to Tashi viewpoint to capture far-reaching views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third-highest mountain in the world.
  • Then head for Ganesh Tok, the charming Hindu temple with mesmerising hilltop views. After this, visit the Enchey Monastery, which is believed to be the home of the protecting deities, Khangchendzonga and Yabdean.
  • Enjoy a cable car ride on the ropeway and catch a bird’s-eye view of the surroundings.
  • More attractions to be covered are the Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, the Institute of Tibetology, the Flower Show, and Banjhakri Falls (if time permits).
  • Afterwards, you’ll get transferred back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3Gangtok — Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

  • After a tasty breakfast, you will leave to visit the famous Tsomgo Lake aka Changu Lake.
  • It has an elevation of about 3,780 m, offers breathtaking scenic beauty, is home to Brahminy Ducks and many other migratory birds and is popular for its colour changing phenomenon.
  • Following this, you will visit the shrine of the famous Baba Mandir where it is believed that his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas.
  • Later, you can also visit Nathula Pass at your own cost (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) which is one of the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border.
  • Later, return back to Gangtok and have your meal at hotel.
  • An overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 4Namchi and Ravangla Excursion — From East Sikkim to West Sikkim

  • Wake up, have a hearty breakfast, and the driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a sightseeing tour to Namchi and Ravangla. 
  • Explore the Temi-Tea Estates & enjoy the beautiful landscape and the aroma of tea.
  • Visit Namchi Chardham and see the 108-foot statue of Lord Shiva, surrounded by replicas of Chardham from different parts of India.
  • Proceed to Buddha Park in Ravangla, featuring a 130-foot-tall Shakyamuni Buddha Statue amidst stunning mountain scenery.
  • Post-tour, the driver will drop you back at your hotel for an overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 5Departure — Gangtok to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport

  • After having a hearty breakfast, check out of the hotel and then board your vehicle to reach NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
  • Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
  • It’s now time to head back home with a plethora of good memories.
