In the old town of Jodhpur, you’ll see narrow lanes and vibrant blue-painted houses. These winding lanes are full of busy markets, the smell of traditional Rajasthani food, and shops selling colourful textiles and crafts.

The blue houses, painted with natural indigo, keep the interiors cool and give the city its unique charm.

As you walk around, you’ll be amazed by the interesting buildings, and you can take some great photos of the colourful houses with the desert behind them.

On the first day Arrive in Jodhpur, meet our representative, and then journey to Jaisalmer, known as the “Golden City” for its beautiful sandstone buildings.

Start your day with a visit to the iconic Mehrangarh Fort, one of India’s largest forts. You’ll see grand palaces, beautiful courtyards, and museums showing Rajasthan’s rich history. Enjoy the stunning views and explore the Phool Mahal (Flower Palace) and Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace).

You’ll enjoy stunning views of the Blue City from the fort’s ramparts. Next, visit Jaswant Thada, a beautiful marble monument surrounded by peaceful gardens with intricate carvings.

Next, explore the Umaid Bhawan Palace, an impressive Indo-colonial building that’s both a luxury hotel and a museum.

On the second day, explore the beautiful Mandore Gardens with its ancient temples and rock terraces. Then, enjoy the lively Sardar Market near the Clock Tower, where you can shop for colourful Rajasthani items.

You can explore the Toorji Ka Jhalra stepwell, a beautifully rebuilt site that shows off the city’s old architecture. Discover its detailed carvings and admire the impressive design from the past.

You can explore rural Rajasthan with a Bishnoi Village Safari. Learn about the eco-friendly Bishnoi people and enjoy a traditional tea with them.

On the final day, have breakfast and check out of the hotel. Explore the old city’s narrow lanes, historic havelis, and lively local scenes. Visit the blue houses in Brahmpuri, and if you have time, enjoy the beautiful paths at Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park.

End your tour with a drop-off at Jodhpur Airport or Railway Station, taking with you unforgettable experiences and happy memories.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Jodhpur — Welcome to The Blue City of India

On Arrival at Jodhpur Airport / Jodhpur Railway Station, meet our representative at a pickup point and get transferred to your pre-booked hotel in Jodhpur .
Upon reaching the hotel, complete the check in formalities and spend a relaxing day getting proper rest.
Start your day to visit the iconic Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. Explore its magnificent palaces, courtyards, and museums showcasing artefacts from Rajasthan’s rich history. Don’t miss the panoramic view of the blue city from the fort’s ramparts.
Proceed to Jaswant Thada, a stunning marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Enjoy the serene gardens and beautiful architecture.
Continue to visit Umaid Bhawan Palace, a splendid example of Indo-colonial architecture. Part of the palace is a luxury hotel, and another part houses a museum with exhibits on Jodhpur’s royal history.
Later on, return back to the hotel and enjoy the meal and retire for the day.

Day 2 Local Exploration and Cultural Experience

On the second day, energise yourself with the morning breakfast at the hotel, and proceed for the sightseeing for a full day covering the historic Mandore Gardens, featuring beautiful temples, memorials, and high rock terraces. This site is rich in history and offers a peaceful environment.
Head to the bustling Sardar Market near the Clock Tower. This vibrant market is perfect for shopping traditional Rajasthani handicrafts, textiles, spices, and souvenirs.
Explore Toorji Ka Jhalra, an ancient stepwell that has been beautifully restored. It offers a glimpse into the city’s architectural heritage.
Experience the rural lifestyle of Rajasthan with a Bishnoi Village Safari. Learn about the Bishnoi community’s unique eco-friendly lifestyle and culture. Enjoy a traditional tea session with the villagers.
After the full day of sightseeing, return back to the hotel and enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner accompanied by a cultural dance and music performance at a heritage venue.

Day 3Heritage Walk and Departure — Bid Farewell from the Sun City of Rajasthan

On the final day, kick-off your day early and have your breakfast, pack your bags and check out from the hotel.
Take a heritage walk through the old city of Jodhpur. Discover the narrow lanes, historic havelis, and the vibrant local life. Visit hidden gems like the blue houses of the Brahmpuri area.
If time permits, explore Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park located near Mehrangarh Fort. This park showcases the natural ecology of the region and offers scenic walking trails with views of the fort.
Depending on the departure time, spend some leisure time exploring the city on your own or exploring the local markets for shoppings.
