In their language, Lachen means “small pass.”

Your journey begins in Gangtok, where our representative will greet you at the station and escort you to your pre-booked hotel. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic views of the Teesta River.The White river rafting is awaiting you Anytime you are in gangtok. 

On your first day, take it easy and have fun exploring MG Marg. It’s a lively street full of shops and excitement. Don’t forget to try some yummy Sikkimese food while you’re there!

On day two, you’ll first visit the breathtaking Tsomgo Lake, known for its stunning beauty with clear blue waters and picturesque mountain views. After that, you’ll visit Baba Mandir, a sacred spot, and then head to Nathula Pass, a historic mountain route.

Day three takes you to Lachung, a picturesque highlight of Sikkim. Along the way, you’ll be treated to the sight of cascading waterfalls, and You can also take this opportunity to visit the holy rock at Chungthang, renowned for its spiritual significance and breathtaking natural beauty.

As day four begins, you’ll head to the stunning Yumthang Valley, famous for its vibrant alpine flowers. These flowers are known for their bright colours and beauty. After lunch, you’ll return to Gangtok.

On the final day, with a warm heart embrace the mountains with gratitude and a joyful spirit as you bid them farewell and journey back to the station.

Itinerary

Day 1NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok (Drive : 125 Kms — 4/5 Hrs)

  • On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB),. Meet our representative at a pickup point and get transferred to your pre-booked hotel in Gangtok.
  • Don’t forget to capture the picturesque views of the mighty Teesta River on the way.
  • Upon reaching Gangtok, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • In the evening, you can visit the MG Marg of Gangtok, where you can collect souvenirs and treat your taste buds to authentic Sikkimese cuisine.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 2Gangtok — Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

  • After a tasty breakfast, you will leave to visit the famous Tsomgo Lake aka Changu Lake.
  • It has an elevation of about 3,780 m, offers breathtaking scenic beauty, is home to Brahminy Ducks and many other migratory birds and is popular for its colour changing phenomenon.
  • Following this, you will visit the shrine of the famous Baba Mandir where it is believed that his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas.
  • Later, you can also visit Nathula Pass at your own cost (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) which is one of the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border.
  • Later, return back to Gangtok and have your meal at the hotel.
  • An overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3Gangtok to Lachung — Drive towards North Sikkim

  • Wake up to a beautiful morning in the mountains and have a delicious breakfast at the hotel.
  • Get ready and board your transfers to Lachung, one of the most pretty settlements of Sikkim.
  • The road to Lachung takes you through the beautiful Chungthang town, near Kanchenjunga National Park, where you can see the confluence of the two rivers, Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu.
  • Pass a number of small waterfalls on the way as you drive on the North Sikkim Highway, like Bhim Nala waterfalls, one of the highest waterfalls in Sikkim, Naga Falls, Twin Falls, Seven Sisters Falls; etc.
  • If time permits, stop by the holy rock at Chungthang that bears the footprint of Guru Padmasambhava.
  • Reach Lachung and have your dinner.
  • Overnight stay in Lachung.

Day 4Lachung - Yumthang Valley - Gangtok — Witness the Sikkim's Valley of Flowers

  • Wake to the sound of yak’s bell and after an early breakfast, leave to explore Sikkim’s Valley of Flowers – the Yumthang Valley.
  • This valley is located at an elevation of 11,800 ft above sea level and showcases the colourful flowers of primula, rhododendron and other alpine flowers.
  • On the way back, pay a visit to the Hot springs of Yumthang Valley which are considered to have medicinal properties.
  • After your sightseeing, return back to Lachung to have your lunch (on your own).
  • Later, start your transfer back to Gangtok, where you will check-in to the hotel upon arrival.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 5Departure — Gangtok to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport

  • After having a hearty breakfast, check out from the hotel and then board your vehicle to reach NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
  • Your tour concludes once you are dropped at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey.
  • It’s now time to head back home with a plethora of good memories.
