Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, two of Rajasthan’s most charming cities, are known for their unique identities as the Blue City and the Golden City of India. Jodhpur, founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, is lovingly called the Blue City because of its many blue-painted houses.
This tradition started with the Brahmin community, who painted their homes blue to show their status and help keep them cool in the desert heat.
Over time, the blue colour became a symbol of Jodhpur’s rich heritage, giving the city a unique and calming feel. Jaisalmer, founded by Maharaja Jaisal Singh in 1156, is known as the Golden City because its yellow sandstone buildings glow warmly at sunset, creating a special, almost magical atmosphere.
You can explore and feel the rich cultural heritage, stunning architecture, and unique charm of both cities.
When you visit Jodhpur, you’ll be amazed by the city’s distinctive blue streets, which give it a unique charm. Then, in Jaisalmer, the golden sands of the desert create a magical landscape that feels like a scene from a storybook. Both places offer stunning views and special qualities that will make your trip unforgettable.
As soon as you arrive at Jodhpur Airport or Railway Station, you’ll be taken to your hotel in Jodhpur. From there, start your day by exploring the impressive Mehrangarh Fort, where you can enjoy amazing views of the Blue City and learn about its fascinating history.

If you have time, you can shop at the lively Sardar Market, famous for its vibrant stalls and unique local crafts. Afterward, treat yourself to a traditional Rajasthani dinner, where you’ll savour rich, flavorful dishes and enjoy captivating cultural performances before heading back to the hotel.
The next day, you’ll visit Mandore Gardens, where you’ll feel relaxed surrounded by beautiful tombs and gardens. Then, you’ll drive to Jaisalmer, the Golden City. There, explore Jaisalmer Fort, which shines with a warm golden glow.
See Salim Singh Ki Haveli, known for its lovely carvings, and enjoy some time by Gadisar Lake. Take a sunset boat ride on the lake for a peaceful view of the city’s golden colours as the day ends.

To end your day, you’ll experience a cultural program and have dinner at a desert camp, where you can enjoy local music, dance, and traditional Rajasthani dishes under the starry sky.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
