Gujarat, known as the “Jewel of Western India,” gets its name from “Gurjaradesa,” which means “land of the Gurjars.” This name highlights the rich history of the Gurjar tribe that ruled the area in the 8th and 9th centuries.

You will enjoy traditional dances like Garba and Dandiya Raas during Navratri, and admire beautiful handicrafts like Patola silk sarees and Bandhani fabrics.

Gujarat is filled with amazing historical sites. Rani ki Vav is a stepwell with beautiful carvings, and Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park has old forts and temples that show the area’s rich history. You’ll also be impressed by the stunning Sun Temple at Modhera.

You’ll love Gujarati cuisine with its delicious dishes like dhokla, thepla, and khandvi, making each meal a special treat.

You’ll start your journey from Vadodara Airport or Railway Station, where you’ll be transferred to your pre-booked hotel in Vadodara.

You can explore the UNESCO World Heritage site, Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, and then visit Sayaji Gardens. Enjoy the beautiful park, see animals at the zoo, watch shows at the planetarium, and check out the museum.

The next day, after a hearty breakfast, take a 1-2 hour drive to the impressive Statue of Unity in Kevadia. While there, visit the Valley of Flowers, enjoy the views from the observation deck, and learn about India’s history at the museum.

You can visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam and enjoy the evening light and sound show, which tells the story of Sardar Patel’s legacy.

On your final day, after breakfast, check out and visit Zarwani Waterfalls, known for its beautiful scenery. Then, explore the Cactus Garden, where you can see many different types of cacti and enjoy a relaxing walk.

After lunch, head back to Vadodara for your departure from Vadodara Airport or Railway Station, wrapping up your memorable tour of Gujarat’s cultural and natural wonders.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Vadodara — Welcome to The Cultural City

On Arrival at Vadodara, meet our representative at a pickup point at Vadodara Airport / Railway Station, and get transferred to your pre-booked hotel in Vadodara.
Upon arrival in the hotel, complete all the check in formalities in the hotel.
Visit Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, this UNESCO World Heritage site, showcasing the remains of the mediaeval city of Champaner.
Explore Sayaji Gardens, which include a zoo, a planetarium, and a museum.
After an amazing day, get back to the hotel.
The remaining day is at leisure followed by dinner, and an overnight stay at the hotel in Vadodara.

Day 2Vadodara to Statue of Unity (Drive : 100 Kms - 1/2 Hrs)

After having a hearty breakfast, set out for a full day sightseeing tour of Statue of Unity.
Drive to the Statue of Unity, located in Kevadia, it takes approximately 1 to 2 hrs of drive from Vadodara.
Upon arrival in Kevadia, complete the check in formalities in the hotel.
Visit the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Take an elevator ride to get a panoramic view of the Narmada River and the surrounding area from the viewing gallery at 153 metres.
Explore the museum and exhibition hall, showcasing the life and achievements of Sardar Patel through interactive exhibits and audio-visual displays.
Explore Valley of Flowers, this beautifully landscaped garden featuring a wide variety of flowers and plants. Perfect for a leisurely walk and photography.
Visit the observation point to view the magnificent Sardar Sarovar Dam and its reservoir. Learn about its significance in providing water and electricity to the region.
In the evening, witness the spectacular light and sound show at the Statue of Unity, which narrates the story of Sardar Patel and the unification of India.
After an amazing full day sightseeing tour of Statue of Unity, get back to the hotel at Kevadia.
Have your late night meal and retire for the day.

Day 3Farewell from Vadodara — End of Tour

After having breakfast, pack your bags and complete the check out formalities from the hotel.
Drive to the scenic Zarwani Waterfalls located in the Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, if conditions permit, you can take a dip in the cool waters.
If time permits, visit Cactus Garden, this unique garden housing over 450 species of cacti and succulents from 17 different countries. It offers a beautiful and unusual botanical experience.
After lunch, drive back to Vadodara to reach Vadodara Airport / Railway Station.
Your tour concludes once you are dropped at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey.
It’s now time to head back home with a plethora of good memories..
