Pushkar, located in the desert state of Rajasthan, is one of India’s oldest cities with ancient roots. According to local legend, Pushkar was created by Lord Brahma, the Hindu god of creation.

Pushkar grew around the sacred Pushkar Lake, which, according to legend, was created when Lord Brahma dropped a lotus flower on the ground. His love for the lotus makes the lake and the city special.

Begin your journey from Pushkar Airport or Railway Station, where you’ll be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Your day starts with a visit to Pushkar Lake, a sacred site surrounded by ghats. Take a leisurely walk and soak in the serene, spiritual atmosphere.

Next, visit the Brahma Temple, one of the few in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. As you explore, you’ll feel the spiritual energy and be enchanted by its unique design and intricate artwork, connecting deeply with its sacred significance.

You can walk through Pushkar Bazaar, famous for its colourful handicrafts and traditional Rajasthani clothes. It’s a great place to buy souvenirs and enjoy the lively local scene.

You can join the evening Aarti at the lake’s ghats, a beautiful ritual with light offerings that adds to the city’s spiritual charm.

On the second day, visit the Savitri Temple, which sits on top of a hill. You can reach it by taking a short trek or riding a cable car. From the top, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the desert landscape, making it a peaceful and memorable experience.

Optionally, you can drive to Ajmer to visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a well-known Sufi shrine. You can experience its special atmosphere and seek blessings at this peaceful place.

Return to Pushkar for a camel safari in the desert. You can enjoy the calming rhythm of the camel and fall in love with the serene beauty of the dunes. As the sun sets, the golden light over the sand will create a magical and unforgettable moment.

In the evening, attend a traditional Rajasthani cultural performance. You’ll experience vibrant folk music and energetic dance, immersing yourself in the lively and colourful spirit of Rajasthan.

On your final day, after breakfast and check-out, visit the Rangji Temple with its beautiful architecture and the peaceful Varaha Temple. Then, explore the rest of Pushkar Bazaar to shop for unique local crafts and souvenirs, like colourful textiles and handcrafted jewellery.
