You’ll start in Ho Chi Minh City,where you’ll feel the history at the Independence Palace and War Remnants Museum. Admire the beautiful Old Saigon Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral, and enjoy the busy atmosphere of Ben Thanh Market.

Then, relax on a calm boat ride through the Mekong Delta, visit the colourful Vinh Trang Pagoda, and taste fresh fruit and honey tea, soaking in all the unique experiences.

Next, you’ll head to Da Nang to visit the bustling Han Market, see the dazzling Dragon Bridge, and relax at Linh Ung Pagoda. Explore the Marble Mountains before travelling to Hoi An.

Walk through its charming old streets, cross the beautiful Japanese Covered Bridge, and enjoy a boat ride on the Hoai River, where you can float colourful flower lanterns and enjoy the magical atmosphere.

Your journey continues at Ba Na Hills, where you’ll ride a cable car to see gardens, an old wine cellar, and the Golden Bridge. Have fun at Fantasy Park with its adventure rides.

In Hanoi, you’ll visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and the Temple of Literature. End the day with a Water Puppet Show.

Travel to Ninh Binh to explore the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and enjoy a boat ride through the beautiful Trang An area.

Itinerary

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City Arrival & Half City Tour

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), a vibrant and dynamic metropolis.
Start the city tour with a visit to:
- Independence Palace (Reunification Palace)
- War Remnants Museum (closed on Mondays)
Explore colonial-era landmarks:
- Old Saigon Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel
- Notre Dame Cathedral, a French-era spiritual and cultural icon
- Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat)
- Continental Hotel
- Opera House
- Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee (formerly Hôtel de Ville)
Visit the Mariamman Hindu Temple, a hidden gem in the city.
End the day at Ben Thanh Market for souvenir shopping.

Day 2Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho/ Mekong Full-Day Tour - Vinh Trang Pagoda

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast, depart from Ho Chi Minh City and travel through scenic country roads to My Tho Town in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s “rice bowl.”
Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, famous for its intricate mosaics made from broken pottery.
Enjoy a boat ride along the Mekong River, passing by fishing villages.
Stop at Thoi Son Island to experience:
- Seasonal fruits
- Honey tea
- Coconut candies
- Traditional Cai Luong (Southern Vietnamese folk music) performed by locals
- A relaxing rowing sampan trip through the lush canals
Return to the pier and transfer to Mekong Restaurant (or enjoy lunch on the island) to savour local dishes (lunch paid by own).
After lunch, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Flight to Da Nang

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast, your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (District 1, 3, or 5) for a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
On the way, enjoy a scenic drive towards the Cambodian border.
Upon arrival, receive an overview of the Cu Chi Tunnels and their significance in Vietnam’s war history.
Explore a section of the extensive 125-mile (200 km) underground network, including trap doors, storage facilities, weapons factories, and kitchens.
Watch a short documentary about the tunnels and the war.
Sample local foods such as rice tapioca and hot tea, the main diet during wartime.
Optional: Try shooting AK47, M16, or other firearms at the nearby shooting range (surcharge applies).
After the tour, return to Ho Chi Minh and transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your flight to Da Nang.

Day 4 Da Nang Half-Day City Tour – Hoi An Exploration

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Start the day exploring Da Nang:
- Visit Han Market, where locals buy fresh produce, seafood, and meat in the early morning.
- See the iconic Dragon Bridge, Vietnam’s longest bridge, famous for its vibrant light shows, fire, and water displays.
- Visit Linh Ung Pagoda, home to the towering 70-metre Lady Buddha statue, a significant Buddhist site.
Head to the Marble Mountains to explore Tàng Chơn Cave and visit the Stone Carving Village of Non-Nuoc.
Continue to Hoi An, an ancient trading port with a blend of Chinese and Vietnamese culture.
- Take a walking tour through Hoi An’s ancient streets to visit:
  - Japanese Covered Bridge
  - Tan Ky Old House
  - Cantonese Congregation
  - Silk Street
  - Various temples and pagodas
In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on the Hoai River and release flower lanterns to bring good luck.

Day 5Ba Na Hills – Golden Bridge Adventure

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Start the day with a drive to Ba Na Hills.
Take the modern Cable Car, the longest in Southeast Asia, to the mountain top.
Ride the Climbing Train to visit:
- Le Jardin D’Amour (featuring 9 themed gardens)
- Debay Wine Cellar, an old French winery
- Linh Ung Pagoda
Take the 2nd Cable Car to the French Village, where you can enjoy:
- Street Music and Art Statues
- Campanile, Nine Floor Goddess Shrine, Tombstone Temple
- Linh Phong Monastery, Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple, and Tru Vu Tea Shop
- Watch the Carnival Performance Show at Square Du Dome
Challenge yourself with the Slide of Tube Car, a thrilling adventure ride.
Visit the stunning Golden Bridge, known for its golden hue and the giant stone hands holding it up, resembling a silk strip floating in the clouds.
Enjoy Fantasy Park, filled with exciting activities:

Day 6 Da Nang – Flight to Hanoi – Half-Day City Tour

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in (check-in at 14:00 PM).
Begin your city tour with a visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, located on the serene West Lake.
Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh and explore the garden, visiting the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969.
- Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, known for its unique structure.
- Dress modestly, covering shoulders to knees, when visiting the mausoleum, temples, and pagodas.
Note: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays and for annual maintenance (15th June – 15th August), but photos can still be taken outside.
Next, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, established in 1076. It served as a centre of education for royalty, mandarins, and elites for 700 years. Explore its beautiful gardens and historic architecture.
End the day with a traditional Water Puppet Show, a unique northern Vietnamese art form portraying scenes of rural life and historical events.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7 Ninh Binh – Dinh & Le Temples – Trang An Caves

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Start the day with a 2-hour scenic drive to Ninh Binh, a region known for its stunning landscapes.
Begin by visiting the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, which served as the capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and Le dynasties in the 10th century. The small kingdom, enclosed by a citadel, offers a glimpse into Vietnam’s historical past.
Explore two significant temples:
- The temple is dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-980).
- The temple is dedicated to Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009), both located in the ancient royal capital of Hoa Lu.
Continue to the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the serene river as you pass through a series of stunning limestone karst caves.
- The landscape features towering limestone karst peaks, lush valleys, and tranquil waterways.
- Known as “Halong on Land”, the peaceful atmosphere is only interrupted by the sounds of nature, offering a tranquil experience.
Return to Hanoi.

Day 8 Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay on Cruise

Meals: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast and check-out, embark on a scenic drive through rice paddy fields to HaLong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Vietnam. The journey to Tuan Chau Harbor via the new highway will take approximately 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival, board a traditional junk boat for a mesmerising cruise through Ha Long Bay, which is dotted with over 1,600 limestone islands and islets.
Enjoy a delicious lunch on board while cruising through the stunning bay. In the afternoon, the boat will anchor for various activities, such as visiting caves, kayaking, or relaxing on the beach (activities subject to weather conditions).
Visit one of the impressive caves, often referred to as the “pearl of Ha Long Bay.” After a short climb of around 100 steps, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the stalagmites and the lush greenery at the entrance, known as the “gate of heaven.”
Kayaking is also an option in Ha Long Bay, one of the world’s top 25 kayaking destinations, as voted by National Geographic Adventures. It offers a unique perspective of the bay’s natural beauty, allowing you to explore it up close.
Overnight on board the cruise in HaLong Bay.

Day 9 Ha Long Bay – Ha Noi

Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
Start your morning with an invigorating Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck, lasting about 30 minutes, while taking in the serene views of Ha Long Bay.
Enjoy coffee, tea, and breakfast pastries in the dining room before continuing your cruise.
The next stop is a visit to a Fishing Village, one of HaLong Bay’s most authentic and ecologically conscious floating villages. This offers a great opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture, where residents rely on fishing and tourism for their livelihoods.
After enjoying the morning activities, return to your cabin to freshen up and pack.
Disembark the cruise and transfer back to Hanoi for an overnight stay.
