On your first day, take it easy and have fun exploring MG Marg. It’s a lively street full of shops and excitement. Don’t forget to try some yummy Sikkimese food while you’re there!

On day two, you’ll first visit the breathtaking Tsomgo Lake, known for its stunning beauty with clear blue waters and picturesque mountain views. After that, you’ll visit Baba Mandir, a sacred spot, and then head to Nathula Pass, a historic mountain route.

On the third day, head to Lachen, enjoying the beautiful drive to the North Sikkim Highway. Along the way, you’ll see lovely small waterfalls and pretty towns. Take your time to explore Lachen and its peaceful surroundings.

Later, visit Gurudongmar Lake,which is a pristine alpine lake in North Sikkim, high altitude, crystal-clear waters, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, religious significance for Buddhists and Hindus, then continue your journey to Lachung.

If time allows, make stops at Bhim Nala waterfalls is a spectacular natural attraction, and the holy rock at Chungthang along the way renowned for its spiritual significance and breathtaking natural beauty.

On day five, you will explore the breathtaking beauty of Yumthang Valley, famous for its colourful alpine flowers and refreshing hot springs.

On day 6 you will Travel from Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla/Namchi. Stop at Buddha Park to admire the Shakyamuni Buddha Statue and visit Namchi Chardham with its impressive Lord Shiva statue.

Enjoy scenic views of the Kanchenjunga Ranges en route. Check-in at the hotel in Pelling and relax. Optional visit to Skywalk Pelling and Singshore Bridge. Overnight stay in Pelling.

On day 7, you’ll take a Pelling City Tour to explore the Sacred Khecheopalri Lake. After a satisfying breakfast, set out for the city tour. Visit the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, revered as the wish-fulfilling lake, with significance in Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

Hindus believe it’s blessed by Goddess Tara, while Buddhists see it as a sacred site linked to Padmasambhava, a revered Buddhist master.

On the 8th day, you will explore The Queen of Hills! After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Pelling and travel to Darjeeling, enjoying scenic views of snow-covered Himalayan peaks and lush tea gardens along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the day at leisure. In the evening, explore Mall Road for shopping. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

The next day, get up early to visit Tiger Hill. You’ll see a beautiful sunrise lighting up Mt. Kanchenjunga and the surrounding peaks. After breakfast, take a memorable Joy Ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.

You’ll pass through the scenic Batasia Loop, a marvel of engineering, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. After that, you’ll visit the Ghoom Monastery, a serene Buddhist monastery known for its ancient architecture and spiritual ambiance.

On the final day, say goodbye to the mountains as you journey back to Station or Airport, wrapping up your unforgettable trip with love and a collection of cherished memories.

Itinerary

Day 1NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok (Drive : 125 Kms — 4/5 Hrs)

  • On Arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB). meet our representative at a pickup point and get transferred to your pre-booked hotel in Gangtok.
  • Don’t forget to capture the picturesque views of the mighty Teesta River on the way.
  • Upon reaching Gangtok, complete the check in formalities to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • In the evening, you can visit the MG Marg of Gangtok where you can collect souvenirs and treat your taste buds with authentic Sikkimese cuisine.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 2Gangtok — Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

  • After a tasty breakfast, you will leave to visit the famous Tsomgo Lake aka Changu Lake.
  • It has an elevation of about 3,780 m, offers breathtaking scenic beauty, is home to Brahminy Ducks and many other migratory birds and is popular for its colour changing phenomenon.
  • Following this, you will visit the shrine of the famous Baba Mandir where it is believed that his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas.
  • Later, you can also visit Nathula Pass at your own cost (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) which is one of the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border.
  • Later, return back to Gangtok and have your meal at hotel.
  • An overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3Gangtok to Lachen — Drive towards North Sikkim

  • Wake up to a beautiful morning in the mountains and have a delicious breakfast at the hotel.
  • Get ready and board your transfers to Lachen, a picturesque hamlet in North Sikkim.
  • Pass a number of small waterfalls on the way as you drive on the North Sikkim Highway.
  • The road to Lachen takes you through the beautiful Chungthang town, near Kanchenjunga National Park where you can see the confluence of two Rivers Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu.
  • After arriving in Lachen, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure admiring the surroundings around you.
  • Overnight stay and dinner in Lachen.

Day 4Lachen - Gurudongmar Lake - Lachung — Visit the pristine high altitude lake of Sikkim

  • Start your day by waking around the snow capped mountains and have a hearty breakfast (at the stay or on the way at Thangu Village depending on the time you depart).
  • Begin your day by visiting the glittering Gurudongmar lake – The Highest Altitude Accessible Lake named after guru Padmasambhava, who is believed to have traversed this region during his visit to Tibet.
  • The lake is enclosed with snow clad mountains all around and is a major source of Teesta river.
  • Spend some time admiring the colours of the lake and then start your journey back to Lachen, where you will have your lunch.
  • Further, hit the roads as you will start your journey to Lachung – one of the most pretty settlements of Sikkim.
  • On the way you will pass by the Bhim Nala waterfalls – one of the highest waterfalls in Sikkim.
  • If time permits, stop by the holy rock at Chungthang that bears a footprint of Guru Padmasambhava.
  • Reach Lachung, complete the check in formalities and have your dinner.
  • An overnight stay in Lachung.

Day 5Lachung - Yumthang Valley - Gangtok — Witness the Sikkim's Valley of Flowers

  • Wake to the sound of yak’s bell and after an early breakfast, leave to explore Sikkim’s Valley of Flowers – the Yumthang Valley.
  • This valley is located at an elevation of 11,800 ft above sea level and showcases the colourful flowers of primula, rhododendron and other alpine flowers.
  • On the way back, pay a visit to the Hot springs of Yumthang Valley which are considered to have medicinal properties.
  • After your sightseeing, return back to Lachung to have your lunch (at your own).
  • Later, start your transfer back to Gangtok, where you will check-in to the hotel upon arrival.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 6Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla/ Namchi — From East Sikkim to West Sikkim

  • After breakfast, enjoy a comfortable transfer from Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla / Namchi.
  • On the way, stop by Buddha Park and witness the 130 ft. High Shakyamuni Buddha Statue.
  • Visit the Namchi Chardham and witness the 108 ft. High Statue of Lord Shiva encircled and supported by a girdle of Chardham, which are situated in India at four different places, in East as Jagannath, West as DwaRka, South as Rameshwaram, and North as Badrinath.
  • As you drive towards Pelling, witness the beauty of the Kanchenjunga Ranges.
  • Upon reaching, complete the check-in formalities to the hotel and spend the day at leisure. 
  • You can visit Skywalk Pelling & Singshore Bridge (at your own expense). 
  • An overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 7Pelling City Tour — Visit the most sacred lake of Sikkim

  • After a hearty breakfast, indulge in an immersive City tour of Pelling.
  • Head to the sacred Khecheopalri Lake which is also known as the wish-fulfilling lake and has religious significance in both Hindu and Buddhist folklore.
  • Further sightseeing will include a visit to some of the most scenic waterfalls like Rimbi Waterfalls and the Kanchenjunga Waterfall.
  • Later, seek blessings of the local deities by visiting the Khecheopalri Monastery and Pemayangtse Monastery.
  • Visit the Rabdentse Ruins to know about the glorious past of Sikkim.
  • Other sightseeing places for the day include Bird Sanctuary, Darap Valley, Helipad Ground & Rimbi Orange Garden.
  • Return back to the hotel, after a day full of sightseeing for an overnight stay.

Day 8Pelling to Darjeeling — Welcome to The Queen of Hills

  • After breakfast, complete the check out formalities from the hotel after which the driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Darjeeling. 
  • Pass through the scenic landscapes and marvel at the panoramic snow-covered Himalayan peaks & tea gardens. 
  • Upon reaching Darjeeling, complete the check in formalities to the hotel, the remaining day is yours to enjoy and rejuvenate as leisure.
  • In the evening, you can also explore the bustling Mall Road in Darjeeling and buy some unique souvenirs and handicrafts.

Day 9Full Day of Sightseeing — Watch The Morning Rays On Mt. Kanchenjunga

  • Kick-off your day at around 4:00 AM for an amazing experience. Climb up to the top of Tiger Hill to catch the sunrise casting lights on Mt. Kanchenjunga and adjoining peaks. 
  • Have your breakfast after this, enjoy the famous Joy Ride on Toy Train ride over DHR (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) can be enjoyed from Darjeeling to Ghum upon arrival visit DHR Museum later back to Ghum Station to take a Toy Train for Darjeeling (own cost).
  • Later on, visit the famous Batasia Loop (Army Memorial), which offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the Darjeeling hill station lined with Himalayan peaks.
  • Embrace the spiritual side of Darjeeling by visiting the Ghoom Monastery that houses a 15-foot high Maitreya Buddha statue (made from the clay bought from Tibet). 
  • Following this visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursday closed) to get a glimpse of the Red Pandas (endangered specie). 
  • Later visit the Japanese Temple and the adjoining Peace Pagoda that showcases 4 avatars of Lord Buddha and offers scenic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga range. 
  • Conclude by visiting the Tibetan Refugee Centre where you can shop Tibetan handicrafts that are produced by the locals there. 
  • Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 10Departure — Darjeeling to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport

  • After having a hearty breakfast, pack your bags and check out from the hotel and then board your vehicle to reach NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
  • Your tour concludes once you are dropped at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey.
  • It’s now time to head back home with a plethora of good memories..
